What is a retrofit LED Lamp? When we mention the word retrofit this is referring to a direct replacement for old light bulbs. This means that Light Emitting Diode Lamps have been made to swap like for like eg. Halogen Bulb to LED, CFL to LED, Incandescent to LED. All the caps/ bases have been made so that these Light Bulbs can replace your old bulbs without the need of replacing the complete fitting, simply take the old bulb out and replace with your brand new energy saving LED Bulb. The most popular cap sizes are Edison Screw Base E27 and Bayonet Cap B22. E27 is an Edison Screw base which has a diameter of 27mm. These are very common amongst many households for many lampshades and wall fittings. B22 is a Bayonet Cap which is 22mm in diameter and again is very common amongst many households and commercial properties such as chandeliers, pendant lights and desk lighting just to name a few. Not only do we stock the E27 and B22 range of light bulbs we also offer the Small Edison Screw E14 and Small Bayonet Cap B15 ranges for the more decorative pieces to finish off your lighting set up.
